Claude connector

The AI Workspace Builder connector lets Claude set up Claude Code for your team. Claude reads your README, onboarding guide or contributing guide, then uses the connector to build a team CLAUDE.md from what those docs say. It can also fetch our free Claude Code templates and list the role profiles teams install for reviews.

In Claude, open Settings, then Connectors, and add the connector from the directory, or add a custom connector with the URL above. In Claude Code, run: claude mcp add --transport http ai-workspace-builder https://aiworkspacebuilder.ai/mcp

No sign-in or API key is needed.

list_templates (List CLAUDE.md templates): lists the free templates: a team CLAUDE.md, a folder-level CLAUDE.md, a personal CLAUDE.md and a shared .claude/settings.json permissions file, with where each file goes and when to use it.

get_template (Get a CLAUDE.md template): returns the full text of one template by id (team-root, folder, personal or settings).

build_claude_md (Build a team CLAUDE.md): assembles a CLAUDE.md from answers about the project, such as overview, tech stack, commands, conventions, testing, deployment and secrets handling. Only the project overview is required. It returns the file plus the fields that were not provided, so gaps are visible instead of guessed.

list_role_profiles (List role profiles): lists the role profiles, such as CTO, security analyst and QA engineer, with what each one checks.

All four tools are read-only. None of them changes anything on your machine or in any account.

build_claude_md rejects answers that look like credentials, such as API keys or private keys, so secrets don't end up in a committed file. Each answer and the total size of all answers are capped.
